Among them, 50 are females, while 145 of them had died due to natural causes. However, 06 females and 25 males had reportedly committed suicide.
A further 21 had died due to road accidents. According to the Foreign Employment Bureau, during this year they had spent around Rs. 07 million in order to bring the bodies of these deceased migrant workers back to Sri Lanka.
The majority of the deaths were reported from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar, the FEB further stated.
