Accountant remanded over unruly behaviour in front of CJ’s home

A man said to be an accountant has been remanded over alleged unruly conduct in front of the home of the chief justice.

The accused, who lives near the CJ’s home at Jaya Road, Nugegoda, has disregarded a request by two police bodyguards to take away his car that was blocking the CJ’s home.

He has allegedly scolded the policemen, but his wife later took the vehicle away.

He is also an accused over a similar incident when the CJ was a judge in the court of appeal.

Produced before Nugegoda chief magistrate Wasantha Kumara, he was remanded until November 12.
