Lorry topples spilling 12,000 eggs on the road (Pics)

A lorry carrying eggs from Colombo to Jaffna had toppled in the Omanthai area yesterday (10), injuring two persons, according to the Omanthai Police.

The police said that the lorry had toppled due to excessive speed and the lorry driver’s inability to control the vehicle.

The lorry was carrying around 12,000 eggs and due to the crash the road was littered with eggs, most of which had broken.

The injuries of the two persons involved in the crash is not serious, while the Omanthai Police is conducting further investigations.
