Of that, Rs. 24.5 million was due from films screened more than five years ago from 30 September 2011.
Included in that list is Sanoja Bibile, who incidentally is a director board member of the SFC.
She has to pay a total of Rs. 1.7 million, but she has told the media that she obtained Rs. 75,000 to produce ‘Alu Yata Gini’, which could be paid back any time.
The State Film Corporation is yet to receive around Rs. 400 million in payments from various individuals and institutions.
