Born in Sri Lanka, Mr. Manoharan lived in Chennai in his later years.
He portrayed the male lead in Joe Devanand’s “Pasa Nila” film, which is considered as the first Tamil movie produced in Sri Lanka.
He is credited with making Wally Bastian’s ‘Surangani’ internationally famous.
In the 70s, he worked as a producer in the commercial section of the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation.
Manoharan has also performed in musical shows all over the world in countries like UK, Australia, Europe, Canada, Singapore and Malaysia.
