Final rites of 'Appuwa' to be held today

Veteran Sri Lankan actor - Sri Lal Abeykoon's final rites are to be held in Negombo today (17), his wife - Dominica Wijenayake says.

He passed away at the Meerigama hospital yesterday (16).

Mr. Abeykoon, a resident of the Bothale area in Ambepussa, was a father of two.

He was best known for the portrayal of the role - 'Appuwa', is the teledrama 'Kopi Kade', which is touted as the longest running teledrama in South Asia.
