Chairman of Litro Theshara Jayasinghe said that as the current stocks of gas is in compliance with the standards set by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution, distribution will commence.
The Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI) has decided that the propane content of a domestic gas cylinder sold in Sri Lanka should be 30 percent and the Court of Appeal yesterday (17) directed Litro and Laugh Gas to take steps to only release domestic gas cylinders that are compliant with the SLSI standards.

Meanwhile, Secretary to the Ministry of Technology Jayantha de Silva stated that permission was granted to unload the Litro gas after inspecting samples of gas samples from the ship.
A special discussion is scheduled to take place next Tuesday (21) under the patronage of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.
It is further reported that the ministers in charge of the subject as well as the heads of the gas companies are scheduled to participate in the discussion and a number of decisions are to be taken at this meeting.
