The announcement was made at a media briefing in Colombo yesterday (15) and was attended by Director of Metropolitan Telecom Services (Pvt) Ltd - Sanjeev Ariyaratnam, Head of Sales of Metropolitan Telecom Services (Pvt) Ltd - Nalaka Dharmasuriya, Brand Manager of Metropolitan Telecom Services (Pvt) Ltd - E.M. Tharindra Niroshan. On behalf of Panasonic, Mr. Takuya Sunahanse, Praney Dhabhani and Shivender Malhotra attended the event.
"We are indeed privileged to join hands with Panasonic smartphones to bring the latest Japanese technologies to Sri Lanka in the mobile phone arena," said Mr. Ariyaratnam.
"We are very happy to be here along with our strong partner - Metropolitan and our latest lineup which we are going to introduce to Sri Lanka."
The host of mobile phones introduced by Panasonic includes Eluga Mark 2, Eluga PRIM, P88, P77 and T 44 which runs on Android Marshmallow. The T30 smartphone, which is at the very low end of the collection, runs on Android Lollipop.
