Cabinet reshuffle put off over auspicious time! Featured

A widely expected cabinet reshuffle today (19) will not happen due to astrologer’s advice, a spokesman for the presidents’ office told Sri Lanka.

Both the president and the prime minister are fully agreed on reshuffling the ministers, but a female astrologer known to both have told them to put it off until next week.

The spokesman added that the cabinet reshuffle would definitely take place at an auspicious time given by the astrologer.

That is before the president’s tour of Australia which begins on March 23.

Meanwhile, a spokesman for the PM’s office said he was unaware of such a development.

Premier Ranil Wickremesinghe is due to leave for Mannar and Jaffna today to attend several functions, he said.

The PM will open the Mannar district secretariat building in the morning and will meet with people’s representatives and state officials in Jaffna later in the day.
